- a message from the Vision Team
Hello, If you're visiting the site today for the first time please consider this. It is a work in progress and an experiment at the same time. Nothing is cast in stone and many things you see today are proposed ministries rather than existing ones. All of the proposed ministries shown are models of what we can and should be doing as a church for our community.
We recognize that the effort to accomplish all that is represented here is far more than we can muster on our own at this time. It is also a grand vision of what we could do if we got ourselves organized and built the church as we should - to serve others.
So, as a member of our congregation we ask you to consider this avalanche of information and then sit back and ask yourself how you can contribute to make a difference like you have never done before. We are now a Purpose Driven Church with a vision and a mission that is far greater and clearer than it has
ever been before.
So to paraphrase J.F. Kennedy's immortal words
" Ask not what your church can do for you but rather ask yourself what
can you do for your church". If you have been saved then you know you
need to serve. If you haven't been saved then let us help you find your
way just as we will be helping hundreds and perhaps even thousands in
the coming years at Kelowna C.R.C.
There is a lot to do and we
are excited when we look around at the congregation - all that wisdom,
all that power and all that potential to change lives for Christ. Get
ready to serve in a Ministry that fits you and uses your life
experience. Many others need your enthusiasm and wisdom. Have you made
your Declaration to lead a Purpose Driven Life yet - read it and get ready because your life is about to change. How exciting - how wonderful.
P.S. -
we need to change the name of the church to reflect it's new mission
and purpose and to be much more inviting to visitors than our present
name. If you have an idea - send it to us via the Contact Us
page on this site - we will collect them and post them in a POLL on
this site when we get enough choices. Then we'll let the voting begin.
