The seniors in our church call themselves "Prime Timers" and they are an active group. They meet once a month, on the first Wednesday of the month. In summertime they normally organize an outdoors event, in winter time an indoors activity, but this is not carved in stone. All Prime Timers are invited to attend Wednesday's meeting. They begin with a cup off coffee, followed by a "sjoelen" tournament. Lunch will be served. All this begin at 9:30am. Don't know what "sjoelen" is.....come on out and see for yourself.
During the months of July and August there are no activities planned, however when some or more of our Prime Timers would like to sit down over coffee in church or elsewhere, they would organize that themselves. There is always good fellowship and camaraderie, lots of laughing and joking. The ones that can't drive or don't have a car, are picked up by other seniors of the group. Please contact us about anything - we would love to help you if possible.
You need to be at least 55 years old to become a member, but the average age of this group is a lot higher. There's no such thing as balloting, every church member of 55 or over may join.
